The Export Awareness Programmme for Animal By-Products Panel was held on December 18, 2024 at AQCS, Office.
CAPEXIL in association of Animal Quarantine and Certification Services (AQCS) organised Panel Meeting cum Export Awareness Programme on Animal by-products on 18th December 2024 at New Delhi.
The objective of Panel meeting was to interact with the member- exporters and understand their concern/issues/challenges with regards to their exports and help devise a strategy for boosting exports.
Exports of Animal by-products have reached US$ 394.21 million during 2023-24 and showing a marginal decline of 0.41% compared to corresponding period last year. As per the latest figure available with CAPEXIL, exports of Animal by-products for the period of April to September 2024 have reached US$ 169.70 million and showing a significant decline of over 15% compared to April to September 2023. Exports of Animal substance for therapeutic uses, Button blanks and Chitosan are mainly showing declining trend in the current year. High Shipping cost is affecting our exports.
The meeting was chaired by Shri S Venkatesh Kumar, Panel Chairman, Animal by-products Panel, CAPEXIL. Meeting was also participated by Shri Surendra Gulati, Former Chairman of CAPEXIL & Panel Chairman of Animal By-products Panel along with prominent members of the ABP Panel. The Export Awareness Programme was attended by Shri Ramesh K Mittal, President, CAPEXIL and Shri Harpal Singh, Secretary CAPEXIL. Dr Abhijeet Kumar, Quarantine Officer, AQCS New Delhi and Mr C.M. Dayanandan, Director, CAPEXIL have made the presentation for the members during the export awareness programme on ABP.
