As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen CAPEXIL’s role as a pioneering Export Promotion Council (EPC), we are pleased to inform you about a significant new initiative aimed at further enhancing our service delivery and policy interface—the formation of Strategic Group for Exports and Strategic Group for lmports.

In today’s fast-changing global economic landscape, marked by regional conflicts, dynamic trade policies, and the conclusion of multiple Free ‘Trade Agreements (FTAs), the focus has shifted toward strategic data insights, trade intelligence, and timely policy responses rather than traditional fiscal incentives. CAPEXIL is commilied Lo cyuippiny its members with relevant and actionable intormation to optimize their global trade prospects.

As you may be aware, the Government of India has set an ambitious target to make India a USD 30 trillion economy by 2047. This vision requires a sustained annual GDP growth of over 9%, which in tur Lauslates into an export target of nearly USD 300 billion for CAPEXIL alone. In view of this, CAPEXIL is preparing a new Vision Document, building on the reforms and initiatives undertaken over the past year, including:

  • Revamped website and launch of regular newsletters
  • Professionalization of internal processes and staffing
  • Improved government-industry engagement
  • Launch of international-level exhibition “Vibrant Buildcon”
  • Commissioning of sector-specific export potential studies (the first on the Pet Food Industry with IIFT)
  • Resource allocation for trade studies.
  • Adoption of revised Articles of Association with inclusive governance provisions for MSMEs, Startups, Women, Young Entrepreneurs, and Star
    Export Houses

In line with the guidance from the Ministry of Commerce, CAPEXIL now proposes to form Strategic Groups on Exports and Imports, which will serve as core advisory bodies, comprising experienced exporters and Committee of Administration (COA) members. These groups will provide real-time insights and support for:

  • Export strategy and product-market alignment
  • Monitoring and leveraging FTAs and tariff structures
  • Identifying and overcoming barriers like anti-dumping duties
  • Feedback on emerging global market trends
  • Preparing policy papers and responding to government qucrics at short notice
