Key Activities of the Swachhata Pakhwada Initiative

The general objective of Swachhata Pakhwada is to bring an intense focus on sanitation and cleanliness by encouraging participation from all sectors and the public, aligning with the broader Swachh Bharat Mission.

Common activities observed by various organizations during their respective Swachhata Pakhwada events in 2025 included:

• Swachhata Pledge: Employees and officials took pledges to commit to cleanliness and motivate others to do the same.
  Cleanliness Drives: Extensive clean-up drives were conducted in Head Office and Regional offices.
• Waste Management: Focus was placed on effective waste management practices, including segregation, recycling, and composting, with some initiatives turning waste into useful products.
• Tree Plantation: Drives for planting trees were held to promote a greener environment.
• Felicitating Sanitation Workers: Sanitation workers (Safai Mitras) were often honored in recognition of their vital contributions to keeping the surroundings clean.
